Categories No Categories

This summer, FODC will host an Arts in the Outdoor Learning Park Series, with generous funding by Your Community Foundation (YCF). This series will include 5 activities that utilize art in environmental learning to provide a fun learning experience and a great way to connect with nature. Each activity will cover a different topic, provide different art opportunities, and many will feature special guest instructors.

Activities will take place on the following Thursdays at 6 pm until approximately 8 pm:

June 27th: Bird presentation with Avian Conservation Center of Appalachia

July 11th: Wildlife lesson with Mike Gray, ABC Humane Animal Removal

July 25th (activity TBD)

August 8th: Wildflower walk with Jordan Young, Master Gardener, and flower art

August 22nd (activity TBD)

Each activity is free and open to the public. The Outdoor Learning Park is located directly on the Deckers Creek rail trail behind the Sabraton in Kroger. Parking is available at the back of the Kroger parking lot.
